I am deeply honored to receive Amazing Grace Award. To be recognized by FCREC members is very special to me. It is really humbling to receive the award in the presence of so many politicians and leaders of Flagler County. I would like to recognize one person in particular who has been an enduring inspiration to me in the fight for justice and fairness, Jearlyn Dennie. Thank you for all you do, and have done, for the community.
I would like to thank my Kids, grandchildren and husband Jack Barbosa, for his support and love. Your support and friendship mean more to me than I can ever express in words.

Dr. Maria Barbosa honored was the “Amazing Grace Award” for her amazing dedication and grace during the 2020 election season. Dr. Barbosa exemplified what it means to be a selfless candidate and continued dignified service to the Flagler County Republican Executive Committee after her own disappointment in the primary election. During an award ceremony honoring all who volunteered on November 18, 2020 at the Pine Lakes Country Club, Chairwoman, Jearlyn Dennie, sighted several examples of Dr. Barbosa commitments including her grace toward her opponent and assistance to all Republican Candidates. This award is the first of its kind to be awarded from the organization.
