I been involved with Garden Club of Palm Coast since 2011, from Member, Horticulture Chair, 3 Years Board -Director to Vice- President. I’m grateful for the opportunity and is a honor to serve together with these amazing group of people. The Garden Club at Palm Coast, Inc. was established in 1975 with its first meeting of record held on June 2, 1976. The group continue to meet monthly, Sept.-May, to share our knowledge and love of gardening and to serve the community with many Programs and Projects. If you have the passion for gardening visit https://gardenclubatpalmcoast.org/ and become a member.
The Garden Club biggest fundraising event is Annual Spring Festival, the funds goes to scholarships. The highlight of the Club’s activities is the huge plant sale offering hundreds of different plants. Proceeds go to scholarships for high school and college students interested in horticulture, agriculture and environmental sciences. In addition there will be a range of garden-related vendors offering a variety of specialty plants and products, arts and crafts, as well as food trucks, and children’s activities.
Just to name few of the committees and projects: Yard selection of the month, Whispering Meadows Ranch Community project, Giving tree, Library Christmas tree, Creek-side, Arbor Day, Blue Star marker, projects at Elementary schools, National Garden week, Memorial Tree, Arranger’Guild and Propagation Guild,
