Kiwanis Club Names 2020 Law Enforcement Officers of the Year On Wednesday, July 1, the Flagler Palm Coast Kiwanis Club held their annual Law Enforcement Officer Appreciation Luncheon and awards ceremony. Sheriff Rick Staly was the guest speaker and gave an update on the Sheriff’s Office and the more than 36% crime reduction in Flagler County since 2017.

Kiwanis Flagler Palm Coast is honoring 14th annual Law Enforcement Officer of the Year awards ceremony. As Kiwanis President is an honor to be able to thanks the commitment, dedication and hard work for those work on the front line. Today we honor from City of Flagler Beach Detective Rosanna Vinci, City of Bunnell Officer Adrian Zapata and from Flagler County Sheriff’s Dep. Deputy Adam Gossett congratulations. Together with Chief Tom Foster, Chief Mathew Doughney and Sheriff Rick Staly, once again thank you for protecting our citizens no matter the time of the day or the weather.

The Flagler-Palm Coast Kiwanis Club has been a local chapter of Kiwanis International for 41 years. This annual award is given to local firefighters during National Fire Prevention Week to recognize them for their service, dedication and commitment to their communities. The award was presented by Kiwanis Chapter President and Flagler County School Board member Dr. Maria Barbosa and Awards Chairman Frank Consentino. Capt. Ascone and Lt. Jeffrey Poeira also attended the awards presentation
